Welcome to the Muttcrew Music Blog…

… and thank you for your interest in the instruments I build and how I build them.

I am not an avid blogger, so forgive me if things are not always up to date and you don’t find new entries every day. Remember that the time I spend writing blog entries is time I can’t spend building new instruments or playing the ones I’ve built. There are, however, breaks in the building process and I will try to use them to create new content and put it up for you.

Please note that I am not a trained luthier so the designs and methods I use may not always be state of the art and may not always comply with standard practice.

Your questions and comments are welcome. Please maintain a mahalo spirit and a courteous tone. I will delete any entries that I find inappropriate. Thank you.

      Vielen Dank und herzlich Willkommen!

And yes – between my project work, business travel, household chores, family, learning, practicing and playing repertoire (on several instruments), building new instruments… there’s not always enough time for website work, blogging, forums. etc.

A propos comments not in English: I think in the days of Google Translate (translate.google.com) the “English Only” rule can be taken with a grain of salt. I just checked what came out as the English translation of your German comment, and it was certainly accurate enough. Of course there will be cases where Google gets it completely wrong and fails to convey the (intended) message, but that’s life. In any case, I review all comments BEFORE they are actually published, so visitors don’t see all the spam and other useless content that gets posted here regularly. Another job to do… That’s why you won’t see your comments immediately and it may take days before I get around to checking and (hopefully) releasing them.
